I was born in Milwaukee, WI during my father’s final year at the seminary. I grew up in Columbia, SC and Marietta, GA where my father served as pastor for many years. I attended Martin Luther Prep School, Northwestern College, and the Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. Upon seminary graduation in 1998, I received my first call into the public ministry to serve a new mission start up in Las Vegas, NV. After 14 years of serving Beautiful Savior Las Vegas, in 2012, I accepted a call to serve St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin as school and associate pastor. In 2021, I accepted the call to serve at Northdale Lutheran Church and Northdale Christian Academy in Tampa, FL.

I am married to Elizabeth (Liz) Guse from Fountain City, WI. We have 3 grown children; Ethan, Brice, and Ben all living in various states and different stages of life. We are just thankful they come to visit once in awhile.

Liz and I are excited to see what the years continue to bring as the Lord blesses the ministry among us. We look forward to the continued days of sun, warmth, and the blessings of our gracious Lord.

Born in St. John’s, Antigua into a missionary family, I grew up watching and learning church work from early on. When I was 7, my family then moved to the Washington DC area, where most of my family still lives today. After attending Martin Luther College and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, I was assigned to be a pastor here in Tampa.

After a busy summer of family weddings, including my own, my wife Sara and I moved to Tampa in July of 2025. We are happy to be in Florida, and are enjoying getting settled into this beautiful city we get to call home.

We spent 6 weeks immersing ourselves in the Spanish language in Mexico during the month of August and September 2025 and are excited to spread God’s word with the people of Northdale, whatever language you speak. If you have a question or would like to get in touch, please don’t hesitate! God bless.
